A Fine Line is a choice-based adventure game created for Carnegie Mellon University's Division of Student Life. The game, which will be played by incoming students, acts as an introduction to the issue of academic integrity. The goal of the experience is to allow players to see the short-term and long-term consequences  of their decisions.

My responsibilities included:

  • Systems Design (The game features a hidden morality and friendship meters which fluctuate based on player choice and affects dialogue as well as the ending of the story)
  • Narrative Design (assisted our writer in creating the game's branching dialogue structure)
  • Observed Playtests, interviewed testers and analyzed results
  • Created the characters and many of the game's environments
  • Managed a group of 3 undergraduate artists who created assets and UI elements
